What’s 212?

At 211 degrees, water is hot.
At 212 degrees, it boils.
And with boiling water, comes steam.
And with steam, you can power a train.

One extra degree makes all the difference.

212 (two-twelve) is inviting metaphor that helps people better connect to the importance of extra attention, effort, and care.

Years ago, I put the idea into a short book. With time and some two-twelving by many, the message became valuable to a lot of people and organizations. (It makes a great keynote.)
